The Executive Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Hon. (Barr.) Barr George Ariolu has shutdown another illegal vehicle dump at Eligbolo axis of the East West road.
The Council Boss who visited the illegal Vehicle detention centre with his team said the council will not fold its hands and watch suspected hoodlums terrorize motorists within the Local Government Area. He said those apprehended for operating the illegal vehicle dumps and posing as taskforce officials will be made to face the full wrath of the law.
He warned those extorting money from motorists to desist from such act as the council will not rest on its oars to restore sanity within the LGA.
Ariolu also directed operative of Neighbourhood watch and officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps to take over the illegal vehicle dump to enable victims recover their cars that have been impounded.
As you may know, hoodlums who pose as members of the Rivers State Government Task Force have been extorting money, harassing motorists and impounding vehicles illegally.
