Young Stunna, born Ikechukwu John-Ogbuka

King Stunna formerly known as Young Stunna, born Ikechukwu John-Ogbuka in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. He spent his early years in Port Harcourt & was involved in different aspects of music from an early age, from singing in the church choir, to learning to play the piano, to rapping old Heavy D & MC Hammer songs. 

Growing up, he listened to artists like Michael Jackson, UB40, Bob Marley, Boys2Men, Heavy D etc, that moulded his idea of the kind of artist  he would love to become.

He attended Jephthah comprehensive secondary school, where he fiddled with songwriting and eventually wrote his first song. 

He formed a rap group (Mach-5) and went on to develop his talent and perform his own songs during social events regularly. 

Young Stunna travelled to Malaysia to attend university. While in Malaysia, he would skip classes a lot of times to be in the studio and put out songs through Myspace and Reverbnation till he got noticed and grew a sizeable fanbase. 

In 2010, he signed to Reshmonu's Records (Warner music, Malaysia) and went on to appear on high profile Malaysian collaborations & was regarded as the premiere African hip hop artist in Asia prior to relocating to Nigeria.

He has been featured on projects by DJ Fuzz, Bryan B, Caprice (Warner music, malaysia), Black Dada (Universal republic), Altimet (Sony Music), and collaborated with Nigerian Artistes Olamide, Sauce Kid, Duncan Mighty etc) 

In 2013, he puts out a mixtape aptly titled "The Research Paper", all songs off the mixtape were released & distributed by Malaysia’s 3 major mobile companies.

He returned to Nigeria in 2013 & since then he has gone on to release chart-topping singles including: Double or Nothing, Amaechi - Run the Town, Higher, Compse, Celebration, Area Boys, In my Etibo, No balance and more.  

In 2019, he released the "5 Tracks of Glory" EP to critical acclaim and favorable streaming numbers. Presently (2021), Young Stunna is working towards releasing a few new singles in quick succession and another body of work.
