Leader of Sociopolitical pressure group, Kengema Unity Forum - KUF, Ambassador Sobomabo Jackrich has called on youths of the state to shun all forms of violence and resist the temptation of being employed as thugs for politicians.
Sobomabo Jackrich who is also the leader of Network For Defense Of Democracy And Good Governance - NDDGG, gave the charge in a consultation meeting and flag off the Rumuolumeni chapter of the NDDGG in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area at the weekend.
Jackrich popularly known as Egberi Papa equally advised people of the state to always be vigilant and lookout for politicians who suddenly become benevolent in order to deceive the people to get their votes.
On their part, representatives of the NDDGG Rumuolumeni chapter, Okechukwu Adolphus Wagbara and Junior Ihunwo speaking at the event, pledged their commitment to ensure good governance at all levels in line with the vision of the organization.
Earlier, during a visit to the palace of the Paramount Ruler of Rumuolumeni, Sobomabo Jackrich called on traditional rulers in the state to work in bringing back the lost glory of the traditional institution, saying it was wrong for political leaders to dictate how traditional institution should be run.
In his response, the Paramount Ruler of Rumuolumeni community, His Royal Majesty, Eze Ndubueze Wobo Orlumeni commended Jackrich and encouraged him to continue his advocacy for the good governance and unity of the state.
