Turn Away From Wayward Lifestyle - Rivers CP to Port Harcourt Young Ladies.

Rivers State Commissioner of Police - (CP) Mustapha Dandaura has expressed worry that several months after corpses of female victims of the Port Harcourt serial killing incidents were deposited at the morgue, nobody has come forward to identify and claim their bodies for burial.

CP Mustapha Dandaura stated this when he received an award of excellence conferred on him by Port Harcourt Significant Girls Initiative - PHSGI at his office at the Force Headquarters, for the proactive response of the force in arresting the prime suspect of the serial killing of young ladies in Port Harcourt hotels, Gracious David West.

Dandaura advised young ladies in the state who lead wayward lifestyles to turn a new leaf, stressing that only those who engage in commercial sexual activities would decide to follow a man they have never met before to lodge in a hotel.

He maintained that failure of any family member or relatives of some the slain ladies to come forward to claim their corpses several months after they were killed, clearly confirms his position.

The Rivers State CP commended the group for dimming it necessary to appreciate the efforts of the police in fighting crime in the state, and equally charged them to always be security conscious in their environments at all times, as well as properly profile anyone they are meeting for the first time or in an already existing relationship.

On her part, Convener of the Port Harcourt Significant Girls Initiative, Nengi Ibifuro Jumbo in an interview with CME News Hub said:

"We are all aware that the last two months, we have been living in fear in Rivers State, young ladies especially".

"We took to the streets to protest and to also sensitize the people"

"We went to the police especially, and we were so angry at them"

"They gave us their word, and in less than three days, the serial killer was apprehended". "So we decided to come back, last time we came to quarrel them, so we have come this time to say thank you".

Nengi Jumbo equally noted that they will take home the words of wisdom by the CP Mustapha Dandaura to sensitize members of the group and other young ladies in the state.
